I have a Masters Degree (Master of Science in Psychology) with a specialization in clinical psychology, and a second Masters of Advanced Studies (cand. MAS) in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Systemic Therapy, both from the University of Zürich. Currently I am working on a Ph.D., studying the effectiveness of different forms of therapy.
Most recently I worked at a private mental health clinic in Switzerland for six years, gaining valuable experience treating clients of all ages.
What happens in Therapy
Therapy is a safe, confidential space where I`ll help you control and eliminate troubling symptoms to increase well-being and everyday functioning. In the first therapy sessions we explore the problem, activate strengths and discuss techniques for addressing the current symptoms. I work with individuals of all ages (children, adolescent, adults) and families. Click here to see the Child Therapy page. I work with evidence-based therapy techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Systemic Therapy and Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT). We will work closely together to tailor a form of therapy that best suits you. As an expat myself, I have personal understanding of what it means to live in a foreign country and culture, and work equally well in English and German.
You are welcome to contact me via the contact form if you have further questions or want to make a first appointment.
