About Me
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, where I graduated Cum Laude and with Honours, and currently am completing my Master’s degree in Health and Medical Psychology at Leiden University. My internship is the final step before graduating. I am Swiss-Colombian and was raised in the Middle East, before then moving to the Netherlands for my studies. Currently, I am also involved in research at Amsterdam University Medical Center on the psychological consequences of chronic illness.
My Approach
My approach is evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where we explore the connections between your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and overall well-being. I take a client-centred and personalised approach, working collaboratively with each individual while viewing them holistically within the context of their environment, culture, and lived experiences. Cultural understanding and respect for the individual are central to my work, and I aspire to create a supportive and safe space that acknowledges the whole person. My background in health psychology also informs my approach, recognising the important relationship between mental and physical health.
