How Hypnosis Works
Hypnosis is a therapeutical method to induce a so called state of trance. The hypnotic trance is a different state of brain activity, that allows it to achieve changes in different areas. A hypnotic trance feels different for every individual. Hypnosis is a scientific treatment and neither are you unconscious nor incapable of action.
What Hypnosis Can Help With
Hypnosis can be used for a number of topics in therapy and coaching including:
- Finding your goals
- Self esteem
- Motivation
- Depression
- Burnout
- Anxiety
- Relaxation
- Quitting smoking
What Happens During A Hypnosis?
Hypnosis works using specific language patterns that have a trance inducing effect on the brain. After the so-called “induction period” of hypnosis, we explore your topic, do different kinds of imaginations or go back to past memories.
Despite what you see in the movies, hypnosis does not make you go unconscious or not able to react. In the end of a hypnosis, you are brought back to a normal waken state.
Throughout the therapy, topics in preparation for the hypnosis and your experiences with it are discussed as well.
Goals Of Hypnotherapy
Depending on your symptoms and concerns, hypnotherapy not only can help to reduce the severity of your symptoms, but also to find and address the source of them. Hypnosis is also intended to activate and strengthen the resources you already have.
